This Eurasian Tree Sparrow carving was hand-crafted from solid Basswood. The Eurasian Tree Sparrow is distinguished by the brown crown, black ear patch and black throat. This Old World species was introduced and now is locally common in parks, suburbs and farmlands around St. Louis, Missouri, and in nearby Illinois.
