This Yellow-faced Parrotlet carving was hand-crafted from solid Basswood. Yellow-faced Parrotlets are sometimes considered to be a variety of the Pacific Parrotlet. Some European breeders believe them to be a species by themselves. The face and throat are light green-yellow and the forehead is bright-yellow. Males have cobalt blue on the rump and wings as in other species. They have brown eyes and flesh to pink colored legs.
