This Chestnut-sided Warbler carving was hand-crafted from solid Basswood. The breeding male Chestnut-sided Warbler has a yellow crown, black eye line and black whisker stripe with extensive chestnut coloring on the sides. Females have a greenish crown and less chestnut coloring. The song is a whistled please please pleased to meetcha; the call is a chip note. This warbler often cocks its tail.
