American Robin #1
This American Robin carving was hand-crafted from solid Basswood. The American Robin is grayish-brown above with darker head and tail. The bill is yellow with the underparts being brick red and a white lower belly. This very commonly-found robin is often seen on lawns with its head cocked, searching for berries, insects and earthworms. Nesting in small trees, shrubs and even eves of houses, this bird can easily be found from coast-to-coast of Canada and the United States including western Alaska.
