This Spot-breasted Oriole carving was hand-crafted from solid Basswood. Spot-breasted Oriole adults have an orange or yellow-orange patch on the shoulders; black lores and throat; dark spots on the upper breast and extensive white on the wings. Juveniles are yellower overall and immatures may lack the breast spots. The song is a long, loud series of melodic whistles. Prefers suburban gardens.
