This Male Evening Grosbeak carving was hand-crafted from solid Basswood. The male Evening Grosbeak is a stocky, noisy finch. The big bill is pale-yellow or greenish by spring and turns whitish by fall. The male also has a prominent, white patch on the inner wing, yellow forehead and eyebrow on a dark brown-and-yellow body.
