This Tufted Titmouse carving was hand-crafted from solid Basswood. The Tufted Titmouse has a gray crest and a distinct, blackish forehead. The song of this active and noisy species is typically a loud, whistled peter peter peter. Less vocal than the closely related Black-crested Titmouse, the calls of the Tufted are softer and less nasal. Found in deciduous woodlands, parks and suburbs.
