This Indigo Bunting carving was hand-crafted from solid Basswood. The Male Indigo Bunting is deep blue during the breeding season and in Winter the blue is obscured by brown with buff edges. The female is brownish, with diffuse streaking on the breast and flanks. Commonly found in woodland clearings and borders.
