This Mountain Bluebird carving was hand-crafted from solid Basswood. The Mountain Bluebird will nest in tree cavities and buildings and tends to inhabit open range lands and meadows, generally at elevations above 5,000 feet. Although highly migratory in nature, they can be most often found from Colorado and Utah, up through the Northwestern United States, Western Canada and the edge of Alaska.
